Impact and Achievements
The Kalege Islamic Children & Youth Support Organization (KICYYSO) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Uganda, dedicated to addressing the needs of orphans, disadvantaged children, and the broader Muslim community. Since its inception, KICYYSO has been committed to providing holistic support through education, healthcare, spiritual guidance, and community development. The organization plays a vital role in improving the lives of vulnerable populations, fostering social and economic empowerment, and promoting the values of Islam in Uganda.
We are a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Uganda, dedicated to addressing the needs of orphans, disadvantaged children, and the broader Muslim community.
KICYYSO’s religious outreach programs have helped promote a better understanding of Islam and encouraged individuals to embrace the faith. The organization’s Dawah efforts have been instrumental in spreading the message of Islam and building a strong and vibrant Muslim community.
KICYYSO’s construction projects have provided safe and comfortable spaces for worship, education, and community support. The organization’s orphan care programs have provided a safe and nurturing environment for children who have been orphaned or abandoned.

Motivated by a desire to address these issues and support the holistic development of orphans and disadvantaged children, while also promoting the welfare of the Muslim community.
KICYYSO operates with a clear set of strategic objectives, which are designed to guide its efforts and ensure that its activities align with its mission and vision.
Despite its many achievements, KICYYSO faces several challenges in its efforts to support the welfare and development of orphans and disadvantaged children in Uganda.
KICYYSO relies heavily on donations and grants to fund its programs and initiatives. Securing consistent and reliable funding is a significant challenge, particularly in the face of economic uncertainties and competing demands for resources.
